Welcome to Global Base Camp, which is a first step to your education in Denmark and elsewhere.
To become a student at Global Base Camp you need to be able to speak and understand English.
Global Base Camp is the ideal, inspiring and creative place for both foreign and Danish citizens.

Danish and English language training

You will learn Danish in the perfect surroundings. After having studied the basic grammar you will be able to speak and practice your Danish on a daily basis.
Intensive classes with a focus on oral English training. You will be working with a variety of books recommended by the British Council and the University of Cambridge.
Daily dialogues with fellow students and students from the Folk High School will improve your communication skills tremendously.
The Global Base Camp can prepare you for an IELTS Test if you wish.

The political, social and cultural history of Denmark.
Classes will inform you about the Danish Government and the Constitution and will give you an insight into our highly praised social welfare system.

Danish culture and the Danish educational system.
You will learn about the art, design, films and music that put Denmark on the world map, through concerts and exhibitions and you will be guided through the  educational possibilities in Denmark

Sports
Twice a week we will make sport activities  :ball games, swimming, running etc.

 

Lifestyling and Arts
These classes will appeal to the creative and curious mind. You will paint, draw and produce art with your own hands and get inspired by great teachers and visits to art exhibitions.
Lifestyling will come up with new and inspiring ways of making your life more interesting through yoga, philosophy and working with yourself.

Communication
You will learn how to communicate effectively by acting and performing

Media
Classes will give you a basic understanding and knowledge about Media Design, photo, video photoshop and web design.

Music
We will give you a basic understanding of music and take you on a global music trip where you will hear and feel the difference between music styles. We will sing and play a lot of different world music.

Cooking
The world is full of mysterious and wonderful food and In our kitchen we will learn how to prepare all kinds of dishes together with our professionel staff.

Excursions
Visits to universities, business schools and places of cultural and social interest. Trips around the beautiful Danish countryside from East to West and North to South.

Price
The cost of the Global Base Camp is 185 Euro pr. week, which includes food and lodging at Snoghøj Folk High School, all tuition fees and study materials, use of the school´s computers, internet and all trips.
